Leela Sayed is a Consultant Plastic, Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgeon at the Birmingham Hand Centre, where she has worked since 2025. She has specialist interests in microsurgery, myoelectrics and complex upper limb reconstruction, and is the lead for the Limb Replacement Service. She is also part of the Complex Upper Limb Orthoplastic Reconstruction Service, contributing to multidisciplinary care for patients with complex hand, upper limb and peripheral nerve conditions.

Mr Rajive Jose is a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at the Birmingham Hand Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. He has extensive experience in hand trauma, reconstructive surgery and microsurgery, with a longstanding commitment to excellence in surgical education. Widely respected for his engaging and interactive teaching style, he has contributed significantly to trainee development through regional and national educational initiatives, publications and examination preparation courses. Passionate about simplifying complex concepts into practical clinical frameworks, Mr Jose is dedicated to helping trainees build the confidence, judgement and technical understanding required to excel in upper limb surgery and postgraduate examinations.

Mr Samuel George is a Consultant Plastic, Hand and Peripheral Nerve Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, with specialist interests in peripheral nerve surgery, brachial plexus reconstruction, targeted muscle reinnervation and complex upper limb reconstruction. He is the Director of SHARPN Surgery and has developed and delivered numerous regional and national educational programmes for plastic and orthopaedic trainees. He also runs the SHaRPN educational YouTube channel, which has grown to over 10,000 subscribers and accumulated more than half a million views to date. In recognition of his outstanding commitment to surgical education, he was awarded the PLASTA Trainer of the Year Award for the UK and Ireland in 2025. He has also featured on Channel 5's Surgeons: A Matter of Life and Death (Season 3), showcasing innovative reconstructive procedures and raising public awareness of peripheral nerve nerve surgery. A passionate educator and mentor, he is committed to delivering practical, high-yield teaching that bridges specialties and prepares candidates to excel both in examinations and clinical practice. He is also the Director of the Hand and Peripheral Nerve Fellowship Programme.
